Master Craftsmanship

I am builing a pet house, and it's the very first thing I have ever tried to build from wood. Although it's actually NOT as terrible as all that, it doesn't have any right angles, and it's sort of lop sided, it is actually a whole lot better than I imagined it would turn out to be. I didn't really start off with the right tools. My dad gave me some tools, but by that time it was too late to get stuff at right angles. It's still workable, but it's going to have some gaps I need to fill up. My dad is also giving me roofing shingles, and I am going to be painting it when it's closer to being finished.
